Refund Policy
1. General Principles
Because Kasetas Consulting provides professional services, specialized labor, and custom deliverables (such as estimates, schedules, management work, personnel sourcing, and operational consulting), most work begins immediately after engagement. Therefore:
All payments made to Kasetas Consulting are non-refundable except where explicitly stated in this policy.
This applies to:

Fixed-fee services (estimates, schedules, personnel sourcing, LEED/GSG packages, etc.)

Hourly or weekly consulting
-
Project-based and duration-based work
-
Retainers or deposits
-
Travel fees or site visit fees
-
Kasetas Consulting commits internal time, expertise, and resources upon engagement; therefore, refunds cannot be offered for time spent or deliverables already initiated.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 Fixed-Fee Deliverables (Estimates, Baseline Schedules, TIAs, Audits, etc.)

If a client cancels before any work begins, a refund of 50% may be issued.

Once work has begun—no refunds are issued, even if deliverables are incomplete at the time of cancellation.
Work is considered “begun” once any of the following occurs:

Intake/kickoff meeting is completed

Files are reviewed
-
Project is entered into internal systems
-
Takeoffs, scheduling logic, or analysis begins
This ensures Kasetas Consulting is compensated for time committed.
2.2 Time-Based Services (Weekly Consulting, PM Services, Scheduling Updates, Ongoing Work)
Because these services reserve personnel and block calendar availability:

Cancellations must be made 7 days in advance

If cancelled with fewer than 7 days’ notice, the client is responsible for 100% of the upcoming scheduled week or time block
No refunds are issued for:

Previously used time
-
Partial weeks
-
Unused hours within a reserved period
Reserved time blocks prevent us from scheduling other clients; thus, payment is required.
2.3 Personnel Sourcing (Superintendents, PMs, Safety, etc.)
Because sourcing requires immediate labor, recruitment effort, and candidate processing:

All retainers, sourcing fees, and placement fees are non-refundable

If the client cancels after sourcing begins, no refund will be issued

Replacement personnel may be offered at Kasetas Consulting’s discretion, not as a guaranteed service
2.4 Subcontractor Sourcing & At-Risk Subcontracting

Percentage-based fees are non-refundable once subcontractor engagement begins

If the client withdraws from a project after subcontractor procurement has started, full fees remain due

At-risk subcontractor packages are never refundable due to contractual commitments with external trades
3. Meetings, Site Visits & Travel

All site visits, travel, walkthroughs, and in-person meetings in the NYC/Tri-State area are non-refundable once scheduled

If cancelled less than 48 hours before the visit, the full fee is still due

Any external travel booked (transportation, accommodations, etc.) is non-refundable
4. Deliverables & Work Product
Because our work consists of intellectual property and specialized consulting:

Once deliverables are sent (estimates, schedules, TIAs, analyses, reports, documents), no refunds are given
-
This applies even if the client chooses not to use the deliverables
-
Work drafts, partial work, or paused work are treated as deliverables under this policy
This ensures protection for all expert work performed.
5. Client Non-Responsiveness
If a client is unresponsive or fails to provide required information:

No refunds will be issued
-
Work will pause until information is received
-
The client remains responsible for all fees associated with scheduled periods or deliverables
Non-responsiveness does not justify a refund.
6. Service Dissatisfaction
Kasetas Consulting does not offer refunds based on subjective dissatisfaction because:

All services are custom-tailored
-
Deliverables are based on client inputs, drawings, specifications, and industry-standard methods
-
Service time and effort cannot be “returned”
However, we may offer:

Clarifications
-
Minor revisions
-
Additional consultation (at our discretion)
—but not reimbursement.
7. Exceptions
Refunds may be issued only if:

Kasetas Consulting declines or is unable to perform the service

Work has not begun, and cancellation is requested within 24 hours of payment
Such refunds are limited to 50% of the amount paid, unless otherwise approved.
8. Disputes
Any dispute regarding charges or refunds must be submitted in writing to: info@kasetasconsulting.com
Chargebacks filed without prior communication may result in:

Immediate termination of all services

Blocking from future engagement
-
Collection efforts and recovery of non-refundable fees
9. Final Statement
By engaging Kasetas Consulting, clients acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.
Because our services involve professional labor, specialized expertise, and personalized deliverables, all payments are largely non-refundable to protect time, effort, and scheduling capacity.
